Nose
Light hints of Vanilla and oak hit the nose first, followed by heavy sweet corn notes.
Palate
Mild cinnamon, vanilla, and honey are present on the first sip. The more the whiskey opened up the more crisp fruit flavors came through. There is a good amount of alcohol burn coming from the 48. 5% ABV, which was actually quite enjoyable.
Finish
The finish was enjoyable, but short. The sweet corn, honey and vanilla notes carry through, however, they don’t last long. I continued to take sip after sip working for a longer finish,
